My company sat down with our benefits provider and they told us our carrier gave us a 27 percent rate increase. In looking at our loss ratio, we were very profitable for them.

When we asked why such a huge rate increase when their competitors are close to our current numbers, it was explained that our current carrier is the biggest provider in Florida's healthcare exchange and has been losing lots of money on their ObamaCare patients.

Huge rate hikes are coming. Just like we've been warning.

Did we do it or did money do it? Florida Governor spends 87 million of his own money to get a job that pays 150K. Giant, not just big money is plotting/planning 24/7 for their own single interests and getting their way.

I'm hopeful the country will be turned around, praying for that to happen.

Years ago we respected our elected officials, we didn't pick on folks because they hadn't mastered public speaking skills, we measured their heart and dedication to us, not General Motors.

The whole things seems cyclical, Dems get in power because perception is that Repubs are uncaring and not getting the job done. Dems screw it up and then Repubs are back. They all know the hot buttons, for our group it's 2nd amendment primarily, for other microcosms it's profit on auto manufacturing or trade international restrictions being relaxed for financial gain of the big donors.

I am hopeful, but not encouraged it will happen. Money will continue to rule politics to the exclusion of the little guy. Focus grops will say "get a pic shooting something" like that sad pic of Obama with the shotgun.

It seems surreal compared to the days where we were given opportunity to "Like Ike"
