The Japanese Officers Katana in my picture is an original war souvenir bring back. The gentleman who brought it back was moving and was throwing out his items.

Oh WOW. That was a great find! My son collects katanas, but none are originals. He gave me the Willow Leaf Sabre. I believe that was the ancestor of the modern Western sabre. It was used by both infantry and cavalry during the Qing and Ming dynasties.
