I've been wanting one for almost 30 years. Finally! Built in 1945. It's in presentation condition. Bought from a Marine Vietnam vet. He was very picky and was looking to sell it to someone who would appreciate it.

That is a great looking rifle youve got there!!! Will you spend some time shooting her, or will she go to the safe? If you do let her out, please give a report on how she does... we dont get range reports on long guns enough around here!

Both. When I'm not shooting her that's where she'll reside.

I took it to the range today. Took advantage during SWAT training. For now, I only zeroed it in at 50 yards. Eventually I will take it to a longer range where I can shoot 100, 200 and 300 yard distances. It shoots like a charm.

Not the best grouping. The left middle is where it was at before I brought in to the center. The missed heads shot were made by an Army guy. That's all I'm going to say about that.

great buy ! Love her, spoil her....but by all means fire her! That is what the ol'Marine would want :-). That's the rifle that freed a good portion of the civilized world. I'm glad it's in good hands and will be preserved for future Americans :-).
