Default Hello from Horn Lake, MS

Greetings from beasleydano in Horn Lake, MS. I have been a 1911 man for 41 of my 62 years but I am a DW 1911 newbie. Even though I have owned DW revolvers in the past I got my very first Dan Wesson 1911, a 2010 stainless Valor, on 01/24/11. It is my EDC. Glad to be here with you guys!

Welcome to the site. It's good to have long-term 1911 fans here.

Thanks everyone for the welcoming posts! I suppose that I am a traditional been there and done that sort of 1911 guy of the Col. Jeff Cooper School. But this old dog can learn new tricks. Glad I found out about the Valor. It suits my needs perfectly. And I did not have to buy a Colt and spend a lot of time and money getting it modified to be a proper carry gun. That money I used to give to gunsmiths now goes to ammo and the former wait time is now spent shooting. The only mod that I have made to the Valor is a pair of Sarge's gaboon ebony slim grips for dress-up occasions!
