I'll weigh in with Rev. Mark. (hey would this be considered a Priestly Pile On? LOL) If you want a Guana Hit the Fan gun, a basic M4forgery may be your best option. Is this going to be a safe queen until needed? or used a lot?
A very close friend just purchased the Basic S&W M&P Sport: http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/w...layErrorView_Y He paid $599 + tax in Connecticut about a month ago. Very servicable, melonite coating, shoots well. NOW.... others might say, if you want a GHTF gun, you need to get the absolute best for TEOTWAWKI (The end of the world as we know it). There's your 1500+ rifles. In real life, we have to balance things like rifles and pistols along with mortgages and college costs. So we can't have everything... Good luck in your decision making!
