![]() On Monday the Florida Senate Rules Committee met to discuss a bill about arming teachers. There were a few amendments that were tacked onto it and the majority were anti 2A. This is about 10 minutes out of close to 2 hours of public testimony on the Assault Weapons Ban amendment that was shot down by one vote in committee. There were only 4 testimonies against the bill. Marion Hammer past NRA president and current NRA Florida lobbyist, Eric Friday attorney and lobbyist for Florida Carry, a Tallahassee resident and LEO who goes by Miami_JBT on ar15.com, the fourth was a libertarian who said no need to bother with banning because he just 3D prints whatever he needs and assumes anyone who wants to violate the AWB would do the same. So this is the face of our opposition and while it may be laughable, just keep perspective. 8 minutes of testimony against the AWB, 112 minutes of testimony for the AWB.

Watching Trump waffle on background checks, ARs and taking on the NRA does not instill a sense that he is on our side. Even New Jersey, who has some of the most restrictive gun laws, is looking at tightening them. With Toomey and Casey here in PA, I am very concerned that we may be screwed.
