Congratulations on the new lower! I'm assuming it's complete? i.e. nothing more for you to build. Yes, you can buy an upper tomorrow at Midway if you like, but sometimes its better to wait a bit and see what comes up at your LGS used. I've got TWO complete PCF (Plum Crazy Firearms) polymer lowers sitting in my safe with no uppers to mate them to (yet). I figger I'll find a takeoff from some guy's rifle someday. (of course.... I already have a working AR, so I'm a little more relaxed).

Happy Shooting and another

Michael

Thanks Michael.

Yes the lower is complete it has RR internals and Magpul grip and stock.

I like your advise but I would really like to get this together as it is my first AR and once I get back on the road for work, which will be soon, I will have little time to get it together and shoot it.

This will not be my last AR so on the next one I think that I will try and built it from parts.

Thanks
Mike

as I said Mike.... I already have one complete, so I'm a bit more relaxed and can wait for a bit. Order the puppy and have some fun!

That's very cool. I've bought two Palmetto State Armory uppers (one for a friend and one for me) and they're both good for the money. I believe they were approx $430 each.

I chose their 16" mid length gas system with hammer forged barrel.

Neither has malfunctioned yet.
