I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that feels the way I do about Walmart.
Never understood the fascination with the store. Maybe, it's the area, but they're not any different than any other store here.

A gun is a tool, no better or no worse than any other tool: an axe, a shovel or anything. A gun is as good or as bad as the man using it. Remember that.

And shepherds we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for Thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be.

There have been times when I've found things in there that weren't elsewhere, or would have taken more time and/or travel to get. I think the last thing I got there was the Sept. issue of "Guns and Ammo" that had the "2016 Best States for Gun Owners" list. That should be coming on-line soon.

A thin blue line cake is racist?

Hint. If you want to have holiday fun in Wal-Mart, wait till Christmas time. They will have Christmas and Hanukkah cookies and sweets out in the bakery department.

Tell them you need some Kwanzaa cookies and ask them where they are.....

Get offended when they don't have them.....

Here is the article Drudge is linking to, which is from the Macon GA paper (Macon is just down the road from McDonough). I think it is a bit more candid...

The cake she originally asked for had an American Flag and a blue line. When they refused to make that cake, she asked for a plain chocolate cake with just a blue line on it, and they refused to make that too! She went to Kroger and had the cake made there (apparently without incident)

http://www.macon.com/news/nation-wor...104188001.html

Quote:
Taylor Wilkes, a Georgia police officer and family friend, originally posted about the cake incident on Facebook early Friday morning, criticizing the store for their “appalling” behavior.
...
Wilkes said the gesture appeared to be a response to public pressure rather than true atonement.

“I think he just did that because, thanks to you all, this got so much attention, and he didn't want it to go farther than it did,” Wilkes wrote. “The way the meeting was described to me was that it was very scripted and not very sincere.”

“So, although the mistake was ‘made right,’ I will still not be shopping at Walmart due to the ‘quality’ of employees they hire,” Wilkes added.

I buy ammo and beer(Coors lite $15.40 a case in Beaufort).......I could care less if they have a-hole employees sometimes. A company that size will. The company didn't refuse the cake, it wasn't their policy......I'll be in Beaufort this weekend.....ammo and beer will be secured at Walmart. Never had a Walton screw me yet.
