I like the angle of the handle to the spine. You should be able to get a lot of power behind that.

This ^^^! The angle between handle and blade should allow you to deliver some nasty blows and cuts. Ask Brownie about "snap cuts"

Been practicing those all afternoon along with some flow drills, having received "el hefe" this morning.

OP's would be quite effective with the snap cuts. Wonder what the weight is.

Twice the weight of the El Hefe bowie at 14.8 ounces. It's got some weight to it, should be good for chopping.
