I know this is an old thread, but I'm new here. My BHP Standard 9 MM is my EDC. I have another of the same as a safe queen. I switched from my Colt Model 70 SS as my EDC because I decided this world is crazy enough to where I might need the extra fire power. I love John Browning's pistols (well, the BHP isn't totally Browning).

Since pickwick reupped this thread, I checked AIM Surplus. They have FN Belgium Hi Powers for $450.

I wonder if that's a good buy, because I have always wanted the other JMB pistol.

Look at my pics above. If you are ok with finish wear then, you will like your purchase. Mine functions perfectly and is super accurate. The trigger is smooth and not heavy but, has a long reset (if that matters to you). The price is very reasonable and will leave you $$ in your pocket if you decide to refinish it.
