Well deserved Sgt. Adkins! Why is it that it takes so long to recognize a WWII, Korean War and Vietnam war hero? It seems of late they are now presenting awards that should have been issued long before now, some of which have been posthumous. I only found out a couple of years ago my Dad was entitled to the Bronze Star and only found out by accident, and he never even knew because he's deceased.
