Default North Korea's military is falling apart —

http://theweek.com/article/index/265...ns-regime-next

Nearly 25 years later, the North Korean People's Army, Navy, and Air Force are relics of a different era. Nearly everything is obsolete. North Korean tanks and armored fighting vehicles are up to 50 years old. This summer, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was photographed onboard an old Romeo-class submarine, an antiquated design first produced in the 1950s. The North Korean Air Force is only slightly better off; its newest fighter jets are now 25 years old (most are closer to 50).

Just part of why the only people the seriously d*ck with is South Korea. I really love the rocket launches, which usually fail, in an attempt to flex for the world.

In Some ways, this makes the Regime MORE dangerous. While the state of the equipment would bode well for the south in an extended ground campaign, it drives the nK regime to take radical measures such as ballistic missile launches as a strategy. What does the age of a weapon matter if it by chance doesnt fall in the East sea and does land on lets say japan. Seoul is in arty range from the gitgo..

From the quote, a traditional ground war is probably not likely. rogue or limited actions to achieve limited objectives are or could be a reality. We dont have a track record of state dept successes lately.

More than you wanted. Nothing official, ramblings of an old guy.

I tend to call that wisdom.
