Havent done any lead, but a nice light target load would be 6.7gr of Universal Clays under a 155gr Copper plated FP. I like it alot.

Bass, I thought the .40 S&W was the light target load

I haven't started reloads for my 10mm yet but I plan on working up to "hot and heavy". That's the whole idea, right?

, where are you finding the Gold dots?

Yeah, I like the hot loads, but for just range plinking, I still love shooting the 10mm. So I always like to have a light load for it. Somebody said something about the 10mm that I thought was perfect for it. "The 10mm is like an old mucle car, pure horsepower..."

Anyone have other loads ? I have PowerPistol, 2400, WSF.. probably not ideal, but PP makes a good flash. I have the .40/10mm load book. maybe once I set my loading stuff back up I'll try some out.

Whats the useful life of 10mm brass on Mid-Heavy loads ?

Power Pistol
9.5gr PP
9.7gr PP
10.5gr PP
135gr Nosler HP
all three loads worked great in my Razorback. 9.5gr is min and 10.6gr is max per my load manual for Power Pistol and 135gr hollow points.

I just got some PP too for my 10mm. My newest Lyman book says max load for a 180gr JFP is 7.8. I loaded a few at 7.4 and plan on hitting the range tomorrow to try them out. First time shooting my CBOB.

Try Starline brass: 8.3 grains of VV N350 under a 165 grain remington golden sabre. It gives about 1250 fps out of my CBOB and about 1310 out of my G20 with the comped KKM barrel. These velocities are verified over a chronograph. They show no signs of pressure in my two firearms but your mileage may vary. Be carefull etc. On a side note this load produces almost no flash whatsoever. That was verified by night firing. Hope this helps
