Default Remington Woodsmaster

With my Dad’s passing, one family heirloom to pass to me is my Grandfather’s Remington Woodsmaster in 30-06. This rifle has put a lot of food on the table for my family. Deer, elk and make up a lot of what this has taken to feed us over numerous years.

I don’t have much info from the family about when Granddaddy got this but it’s in great shape.

My granddaddy’s cleaning kit as well.

Also I came home with this Ruger Mark II

Treasured family heirlooms have value far beyond the dollars they are worth. I have often thought that when you shoot certain firearms, you are linked to everyone who has pulled that same trigger in the past.

Great guns and full of memories. Those woodsmen pistols are supposedly super accurate.

Yes, “rulers” are sweet shooters!

Yes, until the the "lugs" inside the action start to wear down and the internal bolt becomes useless at that point. They had some wear issues and that is why the design ended over a time. Still a bunch of them out there and yes they are super good guns, I love mine too.

There is a company in MN Ahlers I think that when the semi auto goes bad can convert it into a pump.
