Default Should I Be Talked Out of This?

I'm thinking about doing more business with Fusion. I've sold all of my 1911s in 45 and I can't find something in production that fits what I want. I want a target 45. Nothing production catches my eye right now.

Honestly, taking the process out of the equitation, the gun is amazing. I love it. I just don't know if I have the patience to potentially have the same problems during the process.

Look at Fusion or Wilson, or take a 45 you have and ship it off to have it rebuilt to your specs,

Friends don't let friends buy Fusion's.

I've already got one and I really like it! The process to get it was definitely not smooth, but the gun is absolutely superb.

I have a Fusion that I purchased used from GunBroker, then shipped back to Fusion to have some additional work to. I'm happy with it.

If you purchase another one I would be sure to order exactly what I want right from the get go and make no revisions during the build.

Are there no other builders out there who do comparable work at comparable prices?

I haven't found anyone yet.

Essentially, I can put a deposit down on another Fusion like the one I have except in 45. Then I'd have a target 9mm, a target 10mm, and a target 45.

My other option is to use the deposit money for an AR pistol build with a Sig brace that I would use temporarily while I submit SBR paperwork. This would be pretty dang cool, but I don't even shoot the AR that I already have. A pistol would get more use. But a SBR is just as cool as a full custom 1911.
