Default Yaqui Concept Holster

Lane,
I have been admiring the many photos of your work and listening to the countless rave reviews. Your work is beautiful. Can you make a custom holster (i.e., something you're not already doing)? If you can do, and don't think it's a bad idea/design, I would like to jazz up a Yaqui Slide (fitting all my 1911s) with snap loops for belt retention rather than slide or paddle. COTEP logo on face, fitting 1.5" belt and you're knocking the cover off the ball!
Got my fingers crossed!
Wha d'ya tink?
J

P.S. Tried, unsuccessfully, to snatch a pic from Galco to use as a basis to build idea on.

Sure, it'd basically be my normal OWB snaps, with the nose cut off, right?

That'd be easy.

I think that your idea would be perfect. Way cooler than Galco!!! What do you think about the concept?

Will Dan Wesson CCO, Valor and Kimber Pro Raptor II all fit in the one holster?

Not at the same time...

If I cut it so that the leather extends down the slide to just past the trigger guard, then yes, they should all fit the same. Up to that point, 1911's are pretty identical.

My only objection to the Yaqui style is I don't like the slide exposed. But, if people are willing to pay for it, I'm willing to make it.

Thanks, Dave. Except - you must have flipped the pictures, it looks backwards to me...

Lane,
I'm not forgetting you. Just reevaluating idea based on your comments about a Yaqui. Talk soon.

Just remember with a Yaqui, if you wear the Levi's with rivets, you're gonna scratch your slide. Something to think about

Lane,
I've decided that a simple Yaqui will suit my purposes. Thx for your time. I'm sorry I wasted it.
