Default Classic CBOB curiosity.... bushing and hammer finish

So, I just noticed, I guess paid attention to my Classic CBOB today realizing the bushing is black along with the hammer. I thought I had seen some with stainless parts or at least the hammer stainless.

I set off on the quest because I know the gun had some work done by Dave Saverns. I didn't think the hammer and bushing had been replaced, but that was a possibility.

Doing some trawling on the internet confirmed some with both black, some with both stainless, some with one or the other, hammer or bushing and the other black.

It's possible some of the guns in the images have had work done, but it doesn't seem so. I'm wondering if this variation is factory.

Just checked mine and the hammer is stainless, but the bushing thing you describe, actually it's the "hammer strut" is black. Along with the ejector and extractor.

The bushing to which I was referring was the barrel bushing. Sorry for the lack of precision.

Aha....gotcha.

Have not seen a black hammer or bushing, but have heard rumors of them, older models.

Yes, older model Cbobs had blued bushings and hammers. My PT-C is a 2005. Mine is made from pre-CZ and CZ DW parts. It came with the blued bushing and hammer, as well as the DW Patriot logo with the circle of stars and the Cross above the Patriot and the DW. I will never ever sell this pistol because of that.
When I first got it

I've since had the bushing replaced with an EGW thick bushing and plug.
