Help on extended mag release (EMR) on my 1911
After Saturdays shoot I noticed I would have to rotate the gun in my grip to hit my factory mag release. I've built my gun with mostly EB, WC, and S&A parts so far. I run hogue grips on mine and don't want to end up having to ship parts back and forth to Brownells. Which EMR will stick out far enough from the hogue grips that I wouldn't have to loosen my grip? I can shoot some pics if a visual helps.
Also over the weekend to mags didn't want to drop out of the gun very well. Had to shake it and wing them out ruining my mag change etiquette. Other then adding weight to the mags, any ideas? The mags slide in nice and easy whether it be CMC, Novak, or WC. It might be that I'm just not pushing the mag release enough thinking about...... Thanks Dave

Did you try the Sharpie trick i suggested on FCC to see if the nag catch was dragging?
