Default sparkie's grips

Ok guy's I just finished checkering a few more grips. Please let me know what you think


These are rosewood. couple mistakes on them,but good enough for me to use




These are a Walnut & Cherry laminate:




I just finished these: Black Sassafras,I think they are my favorite so far!




My next project's are gonna be: Leopardwood , Purpleheart,& Figured Eucalyptus!

wow, great job sparkie! Those look really nice! If i tried checkering grips...it would look like rats gnawed on it haha.

You might suprise your self! It take's patience,and determination,oh, and a lot of practice LOL! In all honesty,If I can do it I'd say you or anyone else here could. I've seen the collective talent here and it's impressive what you guys can do. you all inspired me to try,other wise I doubt I would have even tried

Those are really nice - I'd love to see some pictures/descriptions of how you do it. Have you tried checkering metal? Like front straps, MSH, etc?

I would be glad to help you as much as i can.But In the big sand box,there is a thread,I think it may be a sticky, By MR.SCIENCE. Dont know if you have read it or not,but he really goes in depth on how to checker grips. It really help'd me alot. And he has pics Feel free to pm me anytime with questions you may have. I'm still learning myself,but I will help you as much as I can, and maybe I can take pics on the next set that I do, if you think it will help!!
As far as checkering metal, no I havn't tried it yet,but I hope to one day!
