Let us take a moment of prayer for those involved!!!
Today, right around 12:00 an FA-18 like the one pictured crashed not more than 5 blocks from my house. I was just there not 10 minutes before it went down at the UPS depot. I pulled in my driveway, got out of the truck and heard a very loud explosion. I thought it was just the base doing something for an upcoming air show. But when I saw where the black smoke was coming from and then the other FA-18 just circling the area I knew that a plane had went down. Both pilots ejected to safety but were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The plane crashed into an apartment complex and took out five buildings with four units in each one. So far no casualties are reported!! I can only imagine what might have happened if I was a few minutes later getting to the UPS depot!! I do not even want to think about it as it is right next to the crash scene.

I used to be stationed in Oceana, and I worked on F/A-18s. Definitely incredible aircraft.
