Default AR15 Trigger ?

Well I replaced the trigger / hammer springs to 5 lbs . Still has a lot of grit , I did polish a bit but was afraid to go very far or deep . Seems like a crummy set up IMHO anyway . Very sharp edges on the sear and hammer . Any suggestions welcome other than going to a "smith " I am not able to throw $200. at a Timmy system . I'm on a tight budget .
I know not to do much here due to bad things happening .

Thanks in advance

Sometimes rough finish on the pins or pin holes will cause thr gritty feel. Polish those areas up and see if it helps.

Don't forget the flats of the trigger where they contact the lower reciever.

Get a JPRifles trigger and hammer set, you will not believe the difference. It is expensive, but worth every penny.

The ALG Advanced Combat Trigger seems to get good reviews and is only $65.

SSA-E is mine. Best of the best, IMHO. SSA for gen. Use (less sensitive)

(Sorry about it being over budget but worth a rethink for a great trigger and the rewards it gives)

This is the answer that you are looking for since you are limiting yourself on budget. However, if you wise up and save up to buy the best triggers that are available at Geissele you will not regret it. Both of my ARs have Geissele SSA and it is a true joy to pull the trigger. Plus Bill is a great friend to the industry so you just can't go wrong.
