Gold Coast Gunslingers 05-05-12
Howdy Y'll
The day started of with heavy clouds in the sky But as the morning progressed, the could moved out and the HOT SUN moved in...The temp rose quickly to the low80's (to early in May for that)...But after getting our Posse together we set off to Stage # 2. We shoot on Club days 5 Stages and each one with a different story line. In Cowboy shooting as some of you know, we have a loading table and an unloading table, we also have an RO running the match and three spotters. That mess we are all taking turns doing all jobs. We also have two Cowpokes picking up brass and shot shells. Every one gets into the show. Well, back to my story..... I decide that This Saturday, I am going to go a little slower and go Clean (no "mikes") ......... The concept being that slower is faster Stage 2, not a bad time and CLEAN....... I am off and running........ Stage 3, again not a bad time and CLEAN again....Could it be today? Stage 4, A really good time and CLEAN again & again&again...... OK! Stage 5, another good time and CLEAN again...Ok, i put it out of my mind and make the turn to Stage 1......And I am thinking only 28 more rounds and I am clean for the DAY......... It is my turn to shoot and I hand off my Spotters ribbon, and go to the loading table....NO Problem...... Get up to the stage and get ready to shoot.......... First 5 round of 38 SPL. from my Ruger Vaquero , Clean.....Holster and draw my Ruger Vaquero 45Colt and then it happens on the fifth shot, I thought I hit the corner of a small target, but the spotters call it a "mike" The rest of the stage was clean but so goes the day... Oh, well next Saturday I will have a change to correct the problem (get rid of the Spotters) Any way next some images from the Saturday Match STAGE 2

Wish we had a posse locally. I had loads of fun in CAS, but the travel was a bit oo much. Looks like you folks had a great time out there.
