Default Sig P938

Already replaced the Hammer Spring with a Wolff Reduced Power Hammer Spring and have it disassembled to replace the tripper with a stainless non-serrated version. The coin is a KARMA from one of our own COTEPers.

Uh, your gun seems to have come apart...

Have you considered that new Sig 227 in 45 acp? Looks like a great gun, just read about it in the latest American Rifleman.

Not for me. This 938 is less than a month old. Next will be a Remington 700 Target Tactical. Time to do some long distance stuff again.

How's you P938 holding up? I just ordered the Extreme version. I am trying to decide on what ammo to try out. From what I've read Sig has fixed the issues with the extractor being finnicky with 115gr.

I'm looking at Speer lawman & CCI in 115 for target. the also have RWS Greco 124gr that I am tempted to try because its only 12$ a box and heavier. Of couse nothing less than 124gr for self defense ammo.

For range ammo, I shoot any range ammo I can get my hands on, PMC, S&B, UMC, WWB, etc. Most of that is in the 115gr variety.

For SD carry ammo, I only carry Federal HST 124gr. I get the Law Enforcement 50 round packs. My 938 works just fine with the HST. I have also used Precision1 XTP load without issue.

I also converted this gun to single side thumb safety. I also had a set of grips made that did not have the right side grip panel cut out for the ambi safety.

Next will be to replace the MSH with a stainless version when they become available.

Nice! Thanks for writing back. I will try the 115gr. I just didn't want to order a case of 115gr and not have the ammo feed correctly. I also would like ot get rid of the ambi safety.
