Default Classic CBOB Serial number question?

I'm curious about the serial number sequence for the CBOB 10mm. I have one with a CZ suffix, C780xCZ and wondering when it was manufactured.

Would the "7" indicate 2007? That would make sense if it did given what else I know about the gun which I bought used. I've also seen serial number beginning with "CT".

I could look on the night sights which burned out and I replaced. I supposed the date on them might be close to the date of manufacture of the gun.

Makes sense. I thought, perhaps, the "7" did refer to the year. I also was able to find the defunct night sights and they are dated "07". So, all that matches up. Some custom work was done on the gun in July 08, which also makes sense.
