Wow, while some of us are fighting for the right to just carry a gun, other states are fighting whether or not to allow guns in church or allow suppressed guns....talki about your "high quality problems".

Georgia is coming along. They still have a ways to go before I would call Georgia a "gun friendly" state. Not when you compare to say, Mississippi, where they recently passed Open Carry, allow all licensed class 3 devices, have no caliber restrictions on deer rifles, allow single shot 45-70s during muzzleloader season...

and where the Ole Miss Campus Police told me to keep my shotgun in my dorm room overnight so I wouldn't have to check it out at 5 am to go hunting.

I wasn't referring to 2A support....meant more towards the weather and amenities. And it not only refers to California, but to Oregon and Washington. I was not impressed with the Georgia coastline when I lived there, no offense to Georgians!

Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but in Georgia, can't you just walk into a LGS buy a handgun and get permission to carry it all in about the span of 5-10 minutes? That's what my buddy in Griffin told me recently.

I'd say that's pretty gun friendly if you ask me.

When you guys have a roster from which you are allowed to buy from, then wait 10 days to pick up your gun after paying for it, , allowed to only buy 1 new pistol or rifle every 30 days and if you apply for your CCW you have to wait months, if not over a year or more to maybe get approved for your conceal carry permit, come talk to me.

In Florida, it only takes ten minutes if there are 2 people ahead of you or the clerk had to take a leak

Oh, you can buy a gun, long or shot, even without a permit and take it home that day. You can't carry it however, except in your car. It takes anywhere from a few weeks to a couple of months to get the permit.

You can't wear the gun openly or concealed without a permit and in some jurisdictions you will get hassled by LE for wearing it WITH a permit ("It's SCARING people").

Atlanta is the worst. Full of Yuppies and Metrosexuals that freak out at the sight of a gun.

But on the other hand, there is Kennesaw Georgia, where by law you MUST own a gun!

If it weren't for Atlanta ("the city that ate Georgia"), Georgia might be right up there with the most gun friendly states.

Georgia has been making a lot of progress in the gun rights department lately though.

This is Good News, Especially since Mark Kelly & Gabby Giffords Dumb Anti-Gun Group were determined THEY would defeat this bill.
I knew they would fail. What's up with Kelly anyway. Navy Captain and Anti-Gun?
Reckon He & Her just want the Money & Power?
