Solution for bayonet and other storage.
Some time ago, I had posted looking for advice on how to best store and display my bayonets.
I had been searching for a flat file cabinet - normally used to store engineering drawings. However, finding one made of wood meant prices well north of $1000, and new metal cabinets were not that much better. My spouse, CINCHouse, found something online at Home Depot. It has 4 drawers that are 36" wide and 24" deep, and 3" tall. There are also 2 drawers that are 17" x 24" x 5", and 2 drawers that are 17" x 24" x 3"/ It is part of the Martha Stewart collection. My seething hatred for her aside, it works well and fits the decor in the man cave/gun room. Picked up some royal blue felt, cut it to size and glued it in the wide drawers. Attachments left to right: Cabinet, US bayonets 1873 - present, Bayonets rest of the world, Pistols, and the NFA drawer.

I like it! Nice collection too!
Just a thought....... I wonder if you can somehow rig a locking system to where it will lock all the drawers when you are away? Maybe with a magnetic release....? I have and still want to do some of those "hide in plain site" furniture or wall units. Maybe a hidden closet behind a bookshelf or something.
