Default Black Tips!

I got hold of some Black Tip .308 from Mike (AFJuvat) I don't have a .308 but I do have a 300 Blackout 16" Rifle and an 8.5" SBR in Blackout as well. So I pulled some Fiocchi 150gr factory ammo I had on hand so I was working with virgin brass, loaded them up for the 168gr load using H110. The 150gr use a 16.2gr Max load so this one at 15.2 seemed right. I was able to use the Lee Factory Crimp Die but these bullets also have a crimp groove. I will try it out with bullets that don't to rule that out as my problem from the other thread.

Here is the load data. Went with the max load as I have loaded 150gr bullets with no problems with higher loads.

So now I have Green Tips, Orange Tips, Silver Tips and Black Tips. Taste the rainbow Zombies!

Sweet!

Let me know how they perform. I have performance data for them in 30-06, 7.62x51, and 300 Win Mag. Curious how they will do in 300 BLK.

Do be extra careful with your backstop.

It may be a little while, I don't have a chronograph and I don't want to send one of these to punch paper and into a sand berm. I need to get a steel plate and a chronograph in the same place at the same time, but rest assured, any data I get will be posted!

Maybe you can use Pig's backstop. I hear he's prepared brush fires now!

Orange tip tracers can have a similar effect.

In 30-06, they will do 1" of steel or 4" of concrete, so that will give you a starting point.

I have a lead on a source that will sell AP/API/Tracer bullets in bulk (by the pound). If it works out, I'll certainly share.
