Default One for me

As I mentioned in my other post, I've made a bucket load of COTEP holsters over the last two years, and the other day, I realized that I've never made one for me. I have a couple I use, but they are prototypes or rejects/seconds/flaws. I decided that my Wiley Clapp Commander needed a new home. So, I made some tweaks to the OWB holster with Snap loops. Directional snaps, and an air brush, two-tone dye. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out:

Without the gun:

and from the back:

I have no intention of being selfish with this one - if anyone else want's one, I can make more. The finish is a bit more labor intensive, so I'll probably charge a bit more than the normal COTEP holsters.

Thanks again to my COTEP family - without you, this would never have been possible.

Lane

Lane

Are the T nuts exposed on the snaps?

I really like the look of that holster.

Nope. In fact no T-nuts were harmed in the production of this holster. I rivet the snap to the top piece before I line it or glue it together. Took a couple of tries to get it in the right spot. This one carries the gun a bit higher than the original COTEP OWB. I can sit in the car without it digging into the seat (worn at about 3:30).
