Karl Lippard 600 yard 1911 shooter
Anyone know anything about this guy and his 1911 mods? Interesting read, I'd like to hear what the pros say.
http://karllippard.com/military/docs...Fact-Sheet.pdf Apparently the guy shot a 1000 yard open sights record with a 1911. We used to try it at Fort Benning with "rain fire" where we shot way high then watched where they landed with spotter scopes. Last edited by Shark1007; 05-31-2014 at 09:58 PM. |

There are some extremely competent folks here, no doubt.
If this guy has the patience to shoot 1000 meters with 230 grain ball, he might be interesting to speak with. Heck, you could fire, shave and then look for impact on target. 830fps, 1000 meters... long time in flight. |
