Default New Gun Belt

I was inspired to order a new gun belt (I’ve been meaning to do so since January) after reading someone else’s thread (“I need a belt”) on another forum. I looked at several belts and decided to try out these guys ——> https://www.koreessentials.com/. It uses a ratcheting type latching system that I think is genius. I chose a dressy looking leather one in black as my test belt. If this turns out to be a great product, I’ll purchase one in brown as well as one of the nylon tactical styles. I ordered either Wednesday or Thursday (can’t remember now) and received the “shipped” notification that same day. That’s fast. The belt arrived today (Saturday).

First impressions: Looks great, feels great, smells great ( new leather smell), and the craftsmanship is apparent. The stiffness ( ordered the gun belt, they sell a regular belt too) is comparable to my two other gun belts from well known craftsmen. It’s not as thick but, it’s still stiff enough to hold my edc gear in the right position (no droop). Time will tell after it’s broken in if it still does it’s job (as a gun belt) or if it fails. I’ll wear it daily for a while before I can call it good to go or not.

Here are some pics for your viewing pleasure.

That really looks nice. How does the latch or what appears to be a latch on the buckle work???

Just slide it through the buckle and adjust to fit. Easy peasy

Yo ,

The belt adjusts in about 1/4" increments. It would work perfectly with your elastic waistband stretchy pants.

Ya know for those double donut dayz...

A gun is a tool, no better or no worse than any other tool: an axe, a shovel or anything. A gun is as good or as bad as the man using it. Remember that.

And shepherds we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for Thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be.

Hey hey hey......maybe.

Seriously though, a lot of guys wish their belts were more adjustable besides the pre-punched holes. It’s actually an issue with many many leo’s. I am super tempted to try a nylon version. I have the 5.11 tactical belt that is a Velcro system and wish it were better even though it’s really good. This is a good find.

Oh yeah no stretchy pants yet but lots of Lycra spandex in the closet. Just giving you a nice mental image!

I just recently ordered a ratchet belt as well. Wanted to try it. Bought it a few months ago. It's made by a company called Next Belt.
http://nexbelts.com/
I use it mainly for OWB while at work. So far I like it. It's holding up well

The next belt I recently purchased is from Graith.
https://www.graithusa.com/resources/the-specialist-belt
It is mainly touted for IWB. I like it because if a lack of buckle per se. So when I'm scheduled to teach I can easy put a tactical belt over it without the buckle getting in the way.

Yep, this is pretty much the same overall design as the 5.11. A good belt.

The Graith? Big difference in buckle size and thickness.
