Amazing. Condition has not been released but I guess he's still alive?
Was under water for about 30 minutes and still living. Something to be said for super cold water that seems to keep people alive longer than warmer stuff?

Correct. You're not dead, until you're "warm and dead." And kids have a better potential to take advantage of that than older "seniors, etc." folks.
