Even so 900 is still a long way. Been working a couple of years to generate a 200 yard range. Using the lay of the land but still alot of cutting and slashing down where I can't get my tractor.

I've hit two 998 yards shot and two 1,000 yard shots with my trusty Rem 700 with 168 BTHP Matchking. They were at two different ranges why the 2 yard disparity.
It's doable as long as you understand your ballistics and have a good spotter.

Sorry.... "168BTHP"???? I ask, because I'm a member in a long range rifle forum and that's someone's forum name....

168 grain, Boat Tail Hollow Point. It was my issued ammo and did all my training and dopes with it. Plus, I have quite a bit of it. So, it’s still my go to ammo.

Aw DUUUHHHH! I should have recognized that. I knew "BTFMJ" (Boat Tail Full Metal Jacket").... I should have seen that coming a mile away.

Thanks!

Yeah, it’s great ammo with great consistent ballistics. Why .308 is still very popular. A lot manufacturers, Hornady being another, produce very good match grade ammo for that caliber.
Outside of reloading it’s the best out there.
And as mentioned before, you start going into larger match grade ammo, you’re going to pay much more.

Still want a Barrett .50, though.

Good question. I know the differences are not that great, but I'm leaning towards the M107.
