I usually feel better when I know it's in the carrier's possession. Then I can have them send me updates as it passes through the system. Oddly enough, it;'s USPS that has the best updates and has "Informed delivery, etc." Then again UPS has a "Track the driver" feature. When the pkg is "out for delivery," UPS will let you track the truck's movement via web. I think FedEx might also do that but haven't had the chance to check it out.

True... tech has definitely made it less painful to wait for a package, unless you see the tracking info going the wrong direction!

Two LPKs from Palmetto State arrived this afternoon. I will build them tomorrow. Then the process of deciding what to do for uppers. I already have a 5.56mm 16" Carbine With a RDS, A .22 LR 16" carbine Upper with a RDS, and a 20" heavy barrelled 5.56 with a 3x9 scope.

I'll have to look at that, as that caliber seems one for which there's a decent supply of ...... oooops ..... Can't mention that. Wouldn't want to cause a run on it and clean out the supply!

Well I got one lower built this afternoon, wife needed to run some errands and wanted my company so the second one is still in boxes. In the process I found out that my armorers wrench is vacationing somewhere else, maybe even retired by now in Navy Land. Oh well my strap wrench got the castle nut gutentight (you know that good German torque). I have come to the conclusion I love Palmetto State Armory..Their lower part kits come with all the parts segregated in individual bags for the individual tasks. Bolt stop bag came with bolt stop, detent, detent spring and roll pin in one bag. same with the safety selector, mag catch and pivot/take down pins (they even included an extra detent. I built pivot pin detent tool using 1/4" aluminum rouns bar with a champhered 3/32" hole (I didn't even have to chase a detent or spring). I suspect the one I had built before is vacationing with the armorers wrench somewhere far away. Srill considering calibers for the upper. Anyone done anything with the 6MM ARC?

Yeah I like PSA as well. Once you put together your first couple of them, it becomes a cake walk.
