Sistema Colt pistol serial number 76666 was made for the Argentinean Army. The Argentinean Army had this pistol in service for sometime and afterwards it was transfered to the Province of Cordoba police. The Cordoba province police issued this pistol and after an unknown period of time declared this pistol surplus and was sold us such. Finally it was imported and sold in the USA.

Reckon any of the plastic pistols will last this long? I seriously doubt it. I won't be around that long though... (not to be picking on plastic pistols, I own 3 )

I guess someone, somewhere, must own a 1911 produced in 1911 that still works and shoots just fine.

I got to handle a 1911 back in April that was made in 1918, I didn't get to shoot it but I watched the owner run 3 or 4 mags through it without a flaw.

here's a pic of it, it's the one on the table wrapped in it's original lanyard.
