Remember, it was for a 7.62 chamber. May be the difference. You can interchange 7.62 with a .308 chamber, but not vice versa

Good shooting. Can't wait for the weather to break so I can go back to some long distance shooting. I agree about the 168 gr. That's my and my rifle's preferred round.

Bad influence abound...
Previous Sunday I was testing one for a friend. I'm not a rifle person, just shoot them occasionally. Big mistake. There went my wish list a few bucks more expensive in a few minutes....

If you want an entry level high power rifle to get started, Savage Axis is hard to beat. 314 delivered from Buds, minus rings and scope. A little tweaking and it is now shooting touching holes. AS A PLUS, I volunteer to help you sight it in...your shoulders and such will need to be relaxed
