Great pistol, Zilmo!

Personally, I'm torn. It almost seems sacrilege to me to own a pistol that will never be fired.

That said, you and the rest are correct. It would be a shame to change it in any way

Lots of "experts" on the 1911 forum telling me that:
A. It needs to be cleaned.
B. The wax and grease on it are not original.
C. No one has ever seen a box like that before.
D. If you can't shoot it, it isn't worth having.

God I love internet forums.

The cosmoline will not hurt it, after all they are stored like that for future use.

My Friend that is one of the reasons I spend most of my time on this Forum, do a search on the internet about everything you mentioned..............

None of the members on the 1911 are real Collectors......................IMHO.......

The only real collector on that forum is John Holbrook. He has a collection of Military 1911's that should be in a museum!!!
