California requires a drop safety test before they approve them.

From my point of view:
My first DW was/is the CCO. .45 cal, 4.25" barrel, 6 or 7 +1 (kimber mag is 7) Second is the DW Patriot. Special edition from around 2003. 5". .45 cal. full size, don't even try to carry it. All stainless, top to the bottom. Third and fourth: (and my personal favorites) 9mm Dan Wesson Guardians. I have one in 9mm that I purchased. My wife shot it and said "I like this, I want this, thank you for buying it for me." Three weeks later I purchased the same pistol in 38 Super (because I always wanted a 38 super). 4.25" barrels, superb triggers, very very accurate. Those are my four, all are incredibly well made. I haven't seen the latest and greatest, but the name alone says "NO MIM" All tool steel. I like that.

I got tired of being slapped down for what I thought were pretty innocuous comments. It got to where you had to walk on eggshells to avoid getting in trouble. It was mainly that capricious moderation that drove me away.

Same here. Not as active but I like it here better. Despite’s Pig best effort to kick me out. I haven’t been to the big forum in years. Don’t miss it at all. Thank you all for the recommendations. As a big 1911 fan I may go with a full size. Not planning on carrying it. It will be a safe queen. Only come out occasionally. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The 10mm Razorback comes to my mind. The original was built from the input of forum members. Bob Serva the CEO of Dan Wesson and employee P hil were active on the big forum soliciting input and gave us all first dibs on the original limited edition of 150. The Retail price back then was $899. I ordered my son's birth year. Here's a blast from the past and a shot of mine that's not much different than the current one being sold...
