Well at an insured cost of $11, I sent my CCO slide into DW to have a taller front sight installed. Hopefully they will get it replaced and back to me ASAP.
Maybe I'm being a bit picky but I feel that I shouldn't of have had to pay to ship something that DW screwed up at the factory. I'm not sure how this even happens because my CBOB and Heritage were both spot on right out of the case.

Titan - Did you send the Barrel and bushing with it? My guess would be that they are Laser bore sighting them at production.

No Keith told me just to send the slide so that is what I did. If they bore sighted mine at the factory a blind man installed my front sight post......lol
I've seen some cases of the same problem so I imagine that he already knows the post height needed. These are production pistols and I would think that they would all need the same height sights.

Well for $1300 I expected the sights to be right out of the box.

Well I got the following email response from Keith on the front site replacement on my CCO slide: "I get to things as fast as I can. It should be on it's way back to you."
I just hope that it shows up in the perfect shape that I sent it to him in with a taller front site so it shoots POA. I only got to put 200 rounds thru her and I hope I get it back in time to hit the range on Friday after work.

Well I got my slide back today and got it all back together and ready to rock. If the weather is decent tomorrow I will be out to run another 200 rounds thru it. However I did notice when I was putting it back together that there was a bit of peening on the frame where the guide rod is contacting the frame. The aluminum frame in this area is "turned up" the slightest bit at the edge. See the pics below.
Should this be an item for concern or will it flatten itself out as I continue to break it in? I was thinking that after another several hundred rounds that if the metal isn't flattened out that I'd break the dremel and sanding wheel out and smooth it out.

How was the sight adjustment from Keith? I had to send my Guardian slide in to him too as it was shooting 4" high at 7 yards and who knows where at 25 yards! I hope it comes home soon - maybe another week. Like you, I would think that a production gun this expensive would be good-to-go right out of the box.

Keith's front site replacement was good and I'm happy with how it shoots now. I confirmed with 200 rounds last friday.
