Thanks folks! Also, I do have a seven day return option from date of delivery - that seems fair enough. Now I just need to muster some patience ... maybe I'll busy myself finding a nice leather IWB holster

Take it to a smith for a check up. Doubt there will be problems but you never know.
Just in case there are a few things you don't like about it I'm in for the Karma. My Colt collection could use another DS.

My father in law has one. I don't have much to add about it. He loves it and carries at times as well. 5 shots of .38 and will probably go bang on every one. Good enough for all those detectives all those decades!

Congrats, it's a nice piece. I've had mine since the 70's right after George Wallace got shot. A guy bought it the week before the incident and thought they were going to confiscate everyone's guns so he sold it to my local gun shop. He never even got to shoot it. Mine still has the original fat grips. It's a sweet shooter and carries 6 rounds.
