Default MechTech 1911 Carbine

Something I saw online about a carbine length 1911 barrel and buttstock adapter that attached as a MSH tweaked my curiosity, so I did a little Googling about 1911 Carbine Conversions.

I came across this from Mechtech:

You just take your 1911 frame and attach it to the Mechtech upper and you have a carbine. There is an adapter that allows standard AR-15 buttstocks to be used, and all sorts of accessory rails are available.

Comes in .45ACP, 10mm, 9mm, 40 Smith & Wesson, .38Super & 460 Roland

Sounds very interesting to me.

Does anyone know about Mechtech?
