If you don't think it can happen again . . .
History has a way of being learned, and if learned, soon forgotten. This is one to be relearned.
In 1932, 10,000+ Veterans of WW I gathered in Washington for a Bonus March, money they had been promised for their service in the war! It turned into a national disaster ordered by then President Hoover and carried out by Army Chief of Staff General las MacArthur. There is currently a call for another such DC gathering in May -- this time calling for a million Vets. Like it or not, former SecDef Gates book has and will fan the flames of protest and alert the American people on how this President and his administration (and the left side of the Congress) look at and consider the military as expendable and the country as theirs to regulate. With nearly a hundred-million Americans out of work, millions upon millions more receiving welfare and disability payments, is the country ripe for a revolution of sorts? -- things are getting worse -- they ain't getting better. The video from 1932 is 9 minutes long -- can't happen again? -- think again! History has a way of repeating itself, and with the Department of Homeland Security buying billions of ammunition rounds, millions of guns, and thousands of combat vehicles, who do they plan on using them against? Do I believe active duty soldiers would turn on Vets? YES! Look back at 1932! http://www.youtube.com/embed/sNOsIB5VMSQ
