Thumbs up Return to Silverado

Howdy Pards

Last weekend the Gold Coast Gunslingers hosted their annual two day SASS match "Return to Silverado".

For Florida the weather was on the cool side on Saturday around 68 and on Sunday we started out at 43 and with the wind chip it was down around 38 and for Florida it was down right COLD!

Anyway, we had 75 shooters show up from Florida, Georgia, Tenn and Alabama. Day one (Saturday had 5 stages and 5 stages on Sunday). Saturday also hosted a Wild-Bunch match (as a side match) and on Sunday we hosted a Top-Gun Shootout (one hand gun and one shotgun).

Back to the match, your poster went clean for 4 out of 5 stages on Saturday and started off looking a a good finish on Sunday. The first two stages on Sunday were fine, no misses and than the third stage went high on one of the rifle targets (miss one)....next stage went high on three shotgun targets and when I hit the last stage ...welllllllllllll, It was a drop the door and shoot the stage. I shot next to last after spotting for the rest of the posse and if any one should have known the course of fire it was me...Guess what, that is right, the door went down and I stood there looking at the targets trying to figure out what to do
I had a brain freeze after I recovered and had lost about four seconds, I had one miss and that just kicked me out of the top four positions.
Better luck next month in Orlando Florida.
Yep, we all had fun, had some good grub, and a lot of good laughs (at least some did)

So from your reporter, here are some tin types and some short videos will follow in a few days.
