It's a Down Day
Sandy is significantly affecting life as we know it here in Virginia today, hence an unexpected day off.
Luckily I still have power. So I took an hour or so this morning to polish the feed ramps in my Citadel CS and my Sig Carry Nitron. It was surprising how well both factories had done. The Citadel was at least a little polished and just needed a touch-up with 800 grit sandpaper and a Dremel with polishing wheel and a bit of Flitz. The Sig was even better, and almost didn't need anything, but I gave her the same treatment. Now both are mirror finished on both frame and barrel and both feed empty brass without problems. Next, I'll get my Uniflow mounted to the base I bought and charge up some .223 What are you guys that are home-bound because of the storm doing?

It sounds like you had a full morning already!!!
I had to take my wife into the office this morning (8:30 to10:30) to get a payroll done, people still gotta get paid, and then to get some very important tax papers to the Post Office to be sent certified mail. I have loaded up all of the ammo that I had components for so that is done. Just gonna sit back and play on the computer while my wife does some embroidery work!!!

RCBS Uniflow
Down day reloading...
As per  's recommendations, I mounted my Uniflow onto an RCBS base on top of a 16"x16" piece of furniture grade plywood from my scrap pile.I then primed 50 .223 cases and like said, just held them under the drop tube, right in the tray, charging them one by one.Then I seated bullets in the Challenger press. Gotta say, reloading .223 and presumably .308 just turned from a chore to a pleasure. No more weighing out each charge and trickling. No more touching each case while charging. The Uniflow is dropping with +/- .1gr accuracy. Enough for my needs.

Now THAT is something that I like to hear. Hopefully... you've sent in for a L.E. Wilson go/nogo gage to speed check these rounds? If not... please do it soon. Because I check the dimensions using the gage, I have NO FTF, FTE's or any other Failure tooooos.... and you're still eyeballing the whole tray before you seat your bullets... right??????

I dunno pitlog . Are your eyes n fingers calibrated to .0001?
Soory.....therant of a guy without reg internet access. My answer is yes. A dillon or wilson gave in eachcaliber is safer n smarter in long run.....
