Default Plunger Tube a little loose

I have noticed each time that I break my PM-1S down for a thorough cleaning that the plunger tube is slightly loose. Is this the way it should be?

It never seems to get looser, it just wiggles a very small amount. Looks like it is staked from the inside of the frame, so my guess is it would be a gunsmith repair if needed.

My only 1911, so I don't have any knowledge about this.

, if it's a little loose and hasn't gotten any looser, one of two things happened. Either it wasn't staked correctly at the factory or the staking tubes are a little short. Take it to a good Gunsmith and try to get it restaked, if that doesn't work, a new one isn't very expensive.

Thanks, it has not gotten any worse, and it's pretty minor. I'll keep an eye on it.
