Default A Student not an Instructor.

I decided to be a student instead of an instructor. I took a red dot pistol class today.

Although, I helped put this curriculum together the instructor is a certified red dot instructor from Sig Sauer Academy that we have working for us.

This allowed me to do several things. One, run my new Sig M17 with a Holosun 509t and put it through it's paces. Two, more training and reenforcing my shooting skills. Also getting more red dot work in as in the grand scheme of things red dots is a newer phenomenon for me.

Really enjoyed the class and learned a lot.

Good deal. I have been thinking about a red dot on a handgun. Eyes are almost 62 yo and unless lighting is good they and I struggle with the irons. I may have to buy something new that is red dot compatible. By the time I either machine or buy a new slide I am chasing the price of a new pistol. 1911s no way BHP nope, Shield same problem as the grocks. Revolvers SA and DA not so much. Maybe an 80% Glock 19 with a premachined slide....

Yeah, big game changer for me since I started getting the old age eyes. I lose standard front sights now. Had to go with neon color, like orange, front sights. Now it evolved to red dots. Now have them on all my carry guns.
