Are AR550 plates lighter for the same rating as AR500 plates? It seems they should be.
I have some AR550 gongs and some jackass shot one up with green tip penetrators. I suddenly realized what he was shooting and stopped him and chewed his butt out. When I went down to survey the damage, it was just slightly dimpled with less than 1/16" penetration.
