Default Powder measure Question.

For those of you that use RCBS, Hornady, or reading powder measures, do the numeric values on the powder measure thimble equate to anything, or are they just a numeric value for your reference?

I use either the Lee Perfect Powder Measure or the Lee Classic Cast Powder Measure. The thimble on the Lee powder measures are calibrated in cubic centimeters. So if you know the Volumetric Density of one grain of powder, you can quickly adjust the measure to the charge you want.

I am considering trying a different powder measure (mine tend to leak H110 around the rotor) and the online documentation is pretty sparse.

Thanks!

I use the Little Dandy, but bought a custom made adjustable rotor, so no reference markings used

I have an RCBS and never really use the marks. I weigh and adjust till it throws what I want.

I use the RCBS trickler and small digital scale, takes longer but more accurate, I don't want none of Da s or 's squibs in any of my Guns.

Ditto: I use a Dillon 550 B I weigh dump and weigh until I get 5 or more where I want and check every 10 to 15 rounds. Match loads always get weighed.
