I'd save a bit more and get a used Smith. Or even a Ruger gp100. My $0.02

Apples and Oranges...

Neither Smith nor Ruger offer a comparable snubby in 45 ACP. Smith has a 6 shot .410 snubby that can shoot 45 ACP, (The Governor) but the cylinder is twice as long and larger in diameter, and weighs 29.6 ounces (the PitBull is 22 ounces). The GP100 is much larger with a 6 shot cylinder, and only comes in 357 Magnum, and the smallest one (3" barrel) weighs 36 ounces.

I agree, Smith and Ruger make stouter guns but as Jim pointed out they don't make a 45acp in that size.

i'd love to get a Smith model 69 combat magnum or a Wiley Clapp sp101 someday.
