Default Update on my Longslides

Well I sent my 2 Longslides off to ALCHEMY CUSTOM WEAPONRY for final fitting and finish.

I am going with Black T on the single stack Longslide and Chrome with black controls on the double stack Longslide.

Ron over there at ACW is really easy guy to work with and I am happy that I sent the guns to him.

Just have to wait a couple months for the guns to get back to me.

Default Longslide 2012 Project

Hi Mike,

I am watching your longslide with great interest.

After I get my Commander back from the Colt Custom Shop in February (3 months overdue), I will start on my Fusion Long Slide. From what I have read about the 10mm, I think that it would be a good idea to get a firing pin stop plate. After disassembling, cleaning and reassembling the pistol, I learned that I would like the 2 piece guide rod replaced with a one piece. I also want to replace the ambidextrous safety with a right handed safety. Right now, I am thinking new grips, Magna-Port and Metaloy, but nothing is carved in stone yet. Ah, the joy of pistol projects.
Anyway, good luck with your RIA Longslide. I look forward to seeing the finished product. It should be outstanding.

Merry Christmas.

Thanks guys.

MajO you should mention 10mm, I am seriously thinking of having ACW make me a 10mm Longslide with a receiver/slide from Caspian.

I would not be until later in 2012.
