I am not sure how to utilize the clip to carry and get it into action in self defense. I will be prowling the internet for manuals or self defense books. Again, thanks. I am pretty fumble fingered with the ones I have now and not getting much better.
Clip it to your pocket as close to the rear as possible. When deploying, grab with your thumb and middle fingers on either side. You pointer finger should ride on the backbone of the knife. With a semi-aggressive pull as well as a rearward pull the Emerson Wave feature will grab your pocket seam and start opening the blade as you pull the knife out. I will try to link videos here so you can see it easier.

As for self defensive usages, I will refer you to our own Brownie or btbbob. Both great instuctors that can andwer any questions you may have.

Enjoy your new blade.

I prefer the framelock like yours over liner locks as they don't exhibit near as much potential to release the blade under lateral stresses applied.

What steel is used in that blade? aus8? Nice foe the price, but I can do without the wave feature, though there's no question a lot of people use them

The blade is 8Cr13MoV. I prefer the frame locks as well for the same reason. This is my first blade with the "wave" feature and I actually like it. I also like the "flipper" deployment on my other blades too.

, you have been paying an uncomfortable amount of attention and chronicle the inevitable. I can promise you will not see a video of any of the several events to come. It is scheduled to arrive next week, no doubt it will happen soon. "She" is sure I have been way to old for stupid despite ample evidence for a long long time. She is very patient and a supreme if addled optimist. She has never slapped me as she is sure that even after 50 plus years there is somewhere in me a super stud hiding if she is just nice enough. Did I mention addled?

Thanks . Perfect. Appreciate the training vids. If I can work it out without slicing off a butt cheek I will be far ahead of where I am now. Perhaps I could send a video of the fair Penelope kissing the band aid on my first butt cheek slice? Probably is a better choice but I worry, he knows where I live in the early winter.....
